Meet Amy

Amy Hackbarth headshotI grew up in Mukwonago, WI, with my parents and younger sister. I attended UW-La Crose, graduating with a degree in Accounting.

I met my husband, Wade, in college, and we decided to stay in the area and make the Coulee Region our home. We have two boys who are grown and mostly out of the house.

I enjoy getting out and enjoying nature, mostly in the Spring, Summer and Fall. In the winter, I can usually be found curled up with a book in my free time. We also love to travel and have started to explore more places. My youngest son and I traveled to Italy and Greece in 2022, which has been one of my favorite vacations so far.

I have worked for various companies over the years, starting in public accounting, moving to healthcare, and then most recently, in manufacturing. I am excited to be at Great Rivers United Way as the Finance Director. I became involved with GRUW serving as Treasurer for a little over a year. When the opportunity arose to be Finance Director, it seemed like the natural next step for me. I am excited to be on staff working for an organization that is making a difference in our community.
