Learn To Lead is a free, six-week training to help those considering service on a nonprofit Board of Directors. Participants will learn the basics of board service and leave the program feeling confident when asked to join a board for the first time.

Session Schedule:
- March 3 – Nonprofit Boards 101
- At this intro session, participants will learn board basics and how nonprofits put mission into motion with help from dedicated board volunteers.
- March 10 – Finances & Community Needs
- A local expert will cover financial oversight for board members; an overview of community needs being addressed by local nonprofits will follow.
- March 17 – Ethics & Board Panel
- A local expert will cover board ethics; an opportunity to hear from, and ask questions of, local people who are currently serving on nonprofit boards will follow.
- March 24 – Fundraising & Executive Director Panel
- Executive Directors from local orgs will be on hand to talk fundraising and what’s expected of board members when it comes to raising money.
- March 31 – Channel Your Strengths
- After taking the StrengthsFinder assessment on your own, a Certified Strengths Coach will help you understand and leverage your top 5 strengths, on a board and beyond.
- April 7 – Meet Your Match
- Our final session features nonprofit “speed dating” – let us introduce you to our nonprofit friends, one of which you’re sure to love! We’ll celebrate with cake!
